I Will Never Forget
I will never forget
I will never forget how insecure, shy, and concealed I was.
I will never forget how afraid I was of the world around me.
I will never forget the darkness that grew so big within.
I will never forget the hatred, and bitterness I carried towards people I was close to.
I will never forget the promiscuous mind, the profane mouth, and the lustful eyes I once had.
I will never forget the slandering curses I launched at my family.
I will never forget these things.
But I will never forget these things not because I’m traumatized, guilty, or a slave to the past.
No.
I will never forget these things because it is in the very memory of it all,
That I am free.
For all I remember, is a cross.
